Daft Punk have made it to the top of US charts for the first time in their career after being No.2 for about eight weeks. They collborated with The Weeknd's 'Starboy', who is sitting No.1 itself.

It replaces 'Black Beatles' by Rae Sremmurd ft. Gucci Mane. 'Starboy' is US No.1 for the third time after 'Can't feel my Face' and 'The Hills' off second album Beauty behind the Madness.

Previously, Daft Punk climbed at No.2 position with Get Lucky featuring Pharrell in 2013. They made it to the Hot 100 for the first time back in 1997 August, with their song 'Around the World' which went to peak at No.61.

The next time they entered into Hot 100 was with One More Time back in 2001, which also peaked to No.61. That was the last entry of French duo in the Hot 100 until 'Get Lucky.'

They got a good mention for Kayne West's Stronger, which ultimately sampled their 2001 track 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' and topped the charts in 2007.

So, eventually Daft Punk waited nineteen years, four months and a week between their first Hot 100 and their first No.1. It's the longest wait by any duo since Santana went almost 30 years between Hot 100 and No.1 'Smooth' ft. Rob Thomas, which spent almost 12 weeks on No.1 in 1999 October.

Starboys' latest follow-up I Feel it Coming also features Daft Punk, keeps on topping the charts. Several critics have rated the song as one of the standouts on The Weeknd's new album Starboy, currently sitting 25th in the charts.

'Starboy' is the title track from the Weeknd's latest album of the same name, which debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200. The Weeknd claimed the album as like a giant collage. Every song has its own character which makes it better than others.
