Reports dating back in September states that the company was officially announcing the recall of the Galaxy Note 7 smartphones following the reported explosions. "The Samsung Note 7 smartphone battery has the potential of overheat and burn, posing a potential fire hazard. Health Canada and Samsung Canada have received one report of a phone battery overheating. No injuries have been reported.

Samsung has received over 70 reported cases in the US," said further reports. The battery explosions subsequently forced the South Korean tech giant to permanently ban the device. While there were many speculations regarding what exactly caused the battery to explode, none of the statements were officially given by the company itself.

Several reports suggest that the Samsung S8 may have its own version of Airpods, i.e. wireless in-ear headphones. According to a report published by Express, Samsung is looking forward to releasing its own wireless in-ear headset along with the speculated Galaxy S8 device.
