Dell has reportedly updated its XPS 13 laptop.The laptop sported all what was expected in a modern-day laptop with a perfect combination of sleek design and versatile specifications. However, it appears like the company is back at it again. In the race of stealing the show at CES, Dell is reportedly going to unveil the new 2-in-1 edgeless XPS 13 laptop this week.
As reported earlier by Computer World, Dell first unveiled its XPS 13 laptop back in 2016. This will be an upgraded version of XPS 13 and if rumours are to be believed, the XPS 13 laptop will come in a 2-in-1 option and will sport an edgeless design.
The same report published by Computer World suggests that the laptop is expected to be priced around $999 excluding the shipping price. As far as the specifications are concerned, The Verge points out that the laptop shares much resemblance with the previous predecessor. However, the spark difference is its ability to rotate 360 degree, thereby giving the users the option of using the device as a tablet as per their preference. The laptop weighs merely 1.24 kilograms and sports a 13.3-inch edge-to-edge screen, ranking it among the light categories in the consumer market.
Moreover, the company also claims that the laptop boasts of a better battery life than the previous version with the laptop's battery ranging between 9 to 15 hours depending on the use of the subject. The device reportedly packs a 7th generation Intel Core i5-7Y54 or Core i7-7Y75 processor. Additionally, an Intel integrated GPU that supports 4K graphics play-back may also come included in the laptop.
On the camera front, the laptop does not contain any significant upgrades. In fact, according to the report by Computer World, the device has inherited certain weaknesses as well. For instance, the webcam problem wherein the camera has an infrared camera and webcam that is located under the screen. The company has posted a teaser image on their official website.
