Vanessa Paradis seems to have carried on with her life as she was spotted in Paris this week with her new beau Samuel Benchetrit. She arrived in Paris on Wednesday with her daughter Lily-Rose and wasted no time in reuniting with her boyfriend in the city later that evening for a dinner date.
She has been traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and Paris during the past few months. Paradis, 44, seems to have gotten over her ex-boyfriend, Johnny Depp. Vanessa and Benchetrit managed to keep their relationship secret for months until they were first photographed together in December, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry.
She dressed in a green beanie and a black coat with a hood for the date. She topped her warm winter wear with blue jeans, brown boots, and a cream handbag. Holding a crutch, on one hand, the 43-year-old French film director, Benchetrit wrapped his other arm around Vanessa's shoulders as they walked on the street. His outfit perfectly complemented that of Vanessa. Benchetrit wore a burgundy coat with blue jeans and tan pumps.
The two spent the afternoon together on the wet streets of Paris, with Vanessa partly covering her face with her hood and Benchetrit wearing a navy hat. Vanessa looked happy to see him, smiling brightly throughout the day, according to DailyMail. Benchetrit was previously married to Marie Trintignant from 1998 until she died in 2003.
In June 2012, Vanessa and Depp announced that they had amicably separated after months of speculating their relationship was on the rocks. They started dating in 1998. Vanessa gave birth to their daughter, Lily-Rose in 1999 and their son, Jack in 2002.
After her split from Depp, she had a romantic relationship with French singer, actor and record producer, Benjamin Biolay. Last year Vanessa publicly stood up for Depp after he was alleged of been violent towards his wife, Amber Heard (now ex-wife). Amber accused Depp of physical and verbal abuse during their 15-month marriage.
"Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous," she wrote.
She added that in all the years she have known Depp, he has never been physically abusive to her and the allegations sound nothing like the man she lived with for 14 years. Both Vanessa and Benchetrit are yet to make any official comment about their romance.
