Game Freak has just released a new update on the upcoming Pokemon bank. Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is the latest versions of the very popular Pokemon video game series. The Pokemon Bank is currently available for Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and Pokemon X and Y, but not available to Pokemon Sun and Moon.
Most gamers are already familiar with the popular upcoming Pokemon Bank application. It will add compatibility with Pokemon Sun and Moon. The Pokemon Bank is a very helpful service that allows players to place Pokemon that they have caught in an internet-based storage, so if they lose their copy of the game they will not have to start all over again.
Pokemon Bank will receive an update this January 2017 that will allow the application to be compatible with Pokemon Sun and Moon which means gamers will now be able to deposit their favorite Pokemon in the Pokemon Bank, according to the game's official website.
Game Freak stated that there will be a January update that will introduce Pokemon bank into Pokemon Sun and Moon. However, the Pokemon Bank in Sun and Moon would be slightly different from the existing Pokemon banks as it does not allow a player to transfer a Pokemon back once it is transferred into Generation VII.
The major reason why this might affect the decision making of some gamers is that Pokemon Sun and Moon is yet to have all of the available Mega Stones from Generation VI. The game only has 16 Mega stone out of 47 that can be bought from the Battle Tree, according to iTech Post.
A player cannot bring all of his Mega Stones from Gen VI into Sun and Moon as items cannot be transferred via Pokemon bank. This would be the first time that Pokemon will be able to transfer from Generation I to outside of Generation II.
It is still not known how Game Freak intend to tweak the Pokemon Bank to accommodate Pokemon transferred from Generation I to the present game since there are lots of missing features such as Pokemon having only four IVs in Generation I: Attack, Defense, Speed and Special.
There is a catch when transferring Pokemon from other games as it was reported that the transferred Pokemon from the other Pokemon games to Pokemon Sun and Moon cannot be transferred back to the original games, The Bitbag.
However, a player can only deposit Pokemon in the Pokemon bank, any other item that a Pokemon possess will be sent back to the game where it was acquired. Game Freak has not made any update with regards to the game's release date.
