"Star Wars Episode 8" has evolved to become one of the most awaited movies of 2017. Several theories concerning the plot of the movie have been doing the rounds on the internet and the recent one talks about Rey's origin.
A spoiler picked up by The Guardian suggests that Rey could actually be Darth Vader's reincarnated version. Rey, played by actress Daisy Ridley, is a powerful character who was introduced in Episode 7 titled "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" for the first time.
"Star Wars Episode 8" left fans on a cliffhanger when Rey finally reaches out for Luke Skywalker to finally see him. Apart from the obvious cliffhanger, the fans were left with a lot of other unanswered questions as well that are expected to be answered in the upcoming episode, scheduled to be released in December 2017.
The publication took the lead for its report from a popular spoiler report that discarded the thought that Rey could be Luke Skywalker's daughter. The report explains how unlikely it is for Luke to leave all his Jedi vows to get married and give birth to Rey. In addition, it also discards the though that Rey could be, in anyway, related to Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The report further delves into how likely it is for Rey to be related to Leader Snoke or Palpatine. However, all fingers point to the thought that Rey could be the reincarnated version of Darth Vader, who evolved from Anakin Skywalker and was always regarded as the "chosen one."
This thought must have evolved from the fact that Rey had no formal training, but she is still so strong with the Force. Moreover, she is shown to be more powerful than Kylo Ren, who had probably undergone years of Jedi training before he turned to the Dark Side of the Force.
Meanwhile, "Star Ware Episode 8" director Rian Johnson recently revealed in an interview with the USA Today that the movie will be more funny than being just dark.
