Forbes has issued its second annual 30 Under 30 Europe List of young influential figures. A lot of familiar names appear to establish their influence in various industries, one of them is entertainment. Among those familiar names, British top hit-makers, Adele, James Bay, and Stormzy resurface as the most influential artists according to the magazine.
Adele is among the top 10 list of Forbes alumni, along with Henry Herbert the Baker Brothers duo. Forbes also named Adele as the singer with the best-selling album for two years in a row for her hit album, "25". Best-selling album is not a new thing for the British singer. Adele's previous album, "21", was named the biggest title in 2012.
Meanwhile, James Bay and Stormzy are named among the top "social stars" in the magazine's elite collection. Bay successfully tops the list of social stars category, thanks to his hit "Let It Go", and Grammy nomination for album "Chaos and The Calm". Other popular figures that are also on the list include Tove Lo, Kygo, Michael Kiwanuka, Christine and The Queens, and Emeli Sande.
The youngest artists who had their names carved in another elite category are Sophie Turner, 20, and "Me, Earl, and The Dying Girl" actress, Olivia Cooke, 23. Turner is not only in the youngest category; she's also secured her name in the international list. Other popular screen stars such as Dev Patel, and Michaela Coel (the creator and star of Chewing Gum), also join the international list.
The annual list of Forbes 30 Under 30 aims to acknowledge youth power in various fields, namely sports, finance, law and policy, retail and commerce, entertainment, media, and arts. The youngsters who are on the prestigious list of Forbes 30 Under 30 are considered to have spark innovation that can lead to their fields, and become the public figures that can be a role model to the Millennials.
