Google Pixel 2 LEAK: Rumored Phone Features Glass Back Panel

Google has completely removed the Nexus line last year since the release of their newest flagship, the Pixel phone. Now, there is a rumor of the Pixel 2 phone and what it would look like.

According to Phone Reviews, the render leak for the supposedly upcoming Google Pixel 2 came from the Far East, presumably China. This apparent leak of the render lets us consumers get a look of the Pixel 2 ten months early, so that means people who have seen the image might take it a little less serious.

Taking a look at the Pixel 2 renders, it would appear to be very sleek looking. The phone also appears to have a glass backside, with the fingerprint scanner still located in the same area. The device also appears to have chamfered edges, and the two-tone design is gone.

While these renders look like the real thing for the Google Pixel 2 handset, these renders are more like renders of a concept design, which means it is just an idea of the model of the phone. Until Google settles on a manufacturer (which might be HTC, LG, or Huawei), we really have no idea on what the phone might really look like.

Well, enough of the design. Let's talk about the possible hardware for the Pixel 2. According to T3, Google might go with the Snapdragon 835 for the phone's CPU, since it promises better performance alongside less drain on the battery.

There might also be minor improvements for the phone: while the first Pixel has 4GB of RAM, we could guess that we could get 6GB of RAM for the Pixel 2. The smaller phone might also get an upgrade to its current resolution.

The Pixel and Pixel XL had awesome cameras, and perhaps Google would focus on this again, maybe upgrade its megapixel range. Google might also follow Apple's lead and sport a dual-lens approach and optical image stabilization to the Pixel 2.

In the end all we can do is wait as the year progresses to hear more about the Google Pixel 2 and a possible Pixel 2 XL variant.
