It will come as a shocking development for hard core fans of The CW's "Supernatural" but it is possible that they will see Dean forget about his family in one of the upcoming episodes of the long running show. The episode promises to be one the most fun and yet alarming episodes that may challenge the core of Dean's personality.
"Supernatural" returns on January 26 in its new timeslot with a new episode entitled "First Blood" which is expected to show Mary and Cas try to bust out Dean and Sam from a government facility. The brothers were both arrested by the Secret Service in the midseason finale for attempting to assassinate the president of the US who was being used as a vessel by Lucifer, SpoilerTv reported.
Mary and Cas are expected to be helped by the British Men of Letters, who will, on their part, try to recruit the brothers into their roster. Among the organization's members is the mysterious Mr. Ketch.
According to a report by Deadline, actor David Haydn Jones has been cast to play the part, described as a "suave, handsome and competent but a sociopath."
However, a major change in Dean is expected to happen in one of the future episodes of the season wherein he will return to a childlike state.
According to showrunner Andrew Dabb, Episode 11 will see elder Winchester brother"trapped in a Memento-type loop, where he's kind of losing his memory a little bit" which makes sense for the character after suffering from emotional baggage surrounding his family and the stresses of saving the world and hunting mythical creatures ever since he was young.
The experience, Dabb said, will become liberating for Dean but at the same time grow alarming for his family when he begins to lose his memory of them.
The showrunner also teased the there will be guest appearances from some hunters like Eileen Leahy, Claire Novak and Sheriff Donna Hanscum to build up the side of the American hunters as the show gears to flesh out the arc of the British hunters.
