"Pokémon Sun and Moon" game is expected to be available for Nintendo's newest console soon, and will be called as "Pokémon Stars."
According to IGN, the developer of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" is developing "Pokémon Stars," which is the 3D version of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" for Nintendo Switch. The "Pokémon Stars" is set to feature the same locales, map, designs and characters of the previous version, which was released for Nintendo 3S. The game is being updated with higher resolution as well as updated graphics, which will make its gameplay even more intuitive and immersive, Forbes reported.
The game has been leaked by GameStop Italy in an article listed on their website. The lines of the article read: "Nintendo Switch games will include new title offerings from Mario, Splatoon, Zelda, the NBA and more! You will even be able to play Skyrim on the go, or Pokémon at home with the Nintendo Switch." With this, the leak confirms that Nintendo Switch will have a wide variety of games available when it launches in March.
As reported by Tech Mic, "Pokémon Stars" might not be available anytime soon. This is due to the fact that Nintendo Switch uses Nvidia's Tegra X1 SOC and since it is a completely different architecture from Nintendo 3DS, it would require a complete rewrite of the game. The visual effects and graphics will need to be matched with Nintendo Switch's requirements.
Nintendo also stated that Games for Switch will have a retail price of $60, which is an equivalent price for the new games for Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation 4. The "Pokémon Stars" release date is still unclear but it is expected to be made available in the upcoming Nintendo Switch presentation.
