Elon Musk, aged 45, is one of the most powerful persons in the world right now. He is the CEO of Tesla Motors and Space X which have redefined the future of travel on earth as well as in space. Elon is an entrepreneur, investor, creator, a business magnate and an engineer.

He became a millionaire when he was in his 20's by selling his startup company Zip2 to a division of Compaq Computers. In 1999, Musk launched X.com, in 2002 he founded Space X and in the next year, Musk founded Tesla Motors.
Talking about his personal life, Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa. At 17, he moved to Canada to attend Queen's University. He earned his Ph.D. at Stanford University in Energy Physics. Elon is currently a divorcee and his last wife is an English actress, Talulah Riley and has five sons.
Tesla Motors
Musk founded Tesla Motors in 2003 and the company aimed to produce affordable electric cars. After 5 years, Tesla unveiled its Roadster which was capable of accelerating from 0 to 60mph in just 3.7 seconds and doing 250 miles before requiring a charge.
Tesla Model S wrote the company's success story and was ranked 99 out of 100 points by the Consumer Reports. The vehicle ushered into a new era of electric vehicles and it was able to run for 265 miles before requiring a charge. In 2014, Tesla unveiled Model S 85D and P85D and Model S was rated as the best car in the world for second year in a row. Tesla, in 2016 launched Tesla X which is a luxury and as of December 2016 more than 25,000 units have been delivered, reports Autocar.
Hyperloop
Hyperloop is a new concept for a new form of transportation in which people would ride in pods through a network of low-pressure tubes. Elon Musk released this concept in August 2013 and announced that it would be resistant to weather and powered by renewable energy with speeds reaching over 700mph.
SpaceX
SpaceX made history in 2012 when the company launched its Falcon 9 rocket into space. The unmanned capsule containing supplies for the astronauts in space was sent to the international space station. In February 2015, the SpaceX launched another Falcon 9 containing Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) satellite to observe emissions from the sun that affect communication systems and power grids on earth.
