Apple did not wrap off a new iMac at its September event in San Francisco, which gave disappointment to the tech buffs. Some optimistic tech experts believed that Apple would release the device during an exclusive Macbook Pro launch event, but this is also in the dark currently. So when will an upgraded model of iMac going to be launched?

Apple patrons have been patiently waiting to catch a glimpse of the new iMac, but unfortunately, there was no sign of the highly anticipated device even in November. This moved conversations among loyal fans of the lauded all-in-one computer.

Multiple reports attribute Apple's decision stating that the delay in new iMac's launch is due to lack of Intel's new processors. It was also revealed that Apple might employ Polaris, AMD's newest generation of graphics chips and eventually unites them for its next iMac 2017 model. Despite the recent arrival of both the components, the technology realm is still waiting for the consumer variants of Polaris chips for the mainstream.

No prizes for guessing, the iMac 2017 has been subject to a slew of rumors and leaks. The rumor mill has been shaking all sorts of speculations around the long awaited device. One of the most widely known speculation says that Apple could be currently be focusing on VR (virtual reality) since the company's chief executive, Tim Cook has indicated recently that all of them will sport a 5K display.

With the lack of an official announcement, the internet is overflowing with reports saying an impending arrival of the iMac 2017. In line with, MacWorld reported that the new iMac would be announced during this year's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which is not scheduled to take place anytime soon.

In the meantime, another report from PC Advisor hints to a March or at least a Q1 2017 launch for the new iMac. The publication quotes a recent internal Q&A session where Tim Cook indicated that Apple has a few desktops that are worth waiting for in the roadmap.

However, since Apple's 2016 release was not really streamlined to the company's usual calendars, the Company's next move could come as a total surprise. While these are mere speculations until the Cupertino Company either confirms or debunks these reports.
