Xiaomi soon going to unveil its Mi6 flagship at the MWC 2017 event in Barcelona says report. Possible specs of the Mi6 include a 4K display resolution with VR support, 16-core processor and a quick charging capability.
A report from Chinese publication MyDrivers, via GizmoChina, claims at a mid-March launch for the Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone, with the trial production for the device starting next month. Reports also say that Xiaomi Mi6 would be announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017. However, Xiaomi has neither confirmed nor denied this news.
It is perceived that Xiaomi's newest handset will initially surface in China. Judging from this scenario, the smartphones will be marketed by noted importers like GearBest and Geekbuying.
According to PCAdvisor, Xiaomi Mi6 will make its debut with three variants: Lite, Standard, and Pro. The Lite version will be having a MediaTek Helio X30 deca-core processor, while, the Standard and Pro versions will sport 2.45GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor. The pro version, on the other hand, will look way stand-out with its dual-curved-edge OLED display.
In terms of design, the metal-cased unit will have a home button where a fingerprint sensor is embedded; it is also possible that an OLED surface will be placed. RAM capability will possibly range between 4GB to 6GB with 128GB to 256GB memory storage.
Considering the fact that the industry's inclination towards a dual-curved edge frame is increasing, it is possible that the Xiaomi Mi6 will assume the said structure. Device is also likely to feature a Quick Charge 4.0 component which can actually have five hours of power resulting from a five-minute loading.
The Mi6 Lite will be sold for $290 USD i.e. CNY 1,999. In the meantime Standard version most likely to offers $360 USD i.e. CNY 2,499, while the Pro version will increase its price to $434 USD i.e. CNY 2,999.
