Kristen Stewart's Upcoming Film Reportedly Based From Real Life Romance With Robert Pattinson

Actress Kristen Stewart became notably well-known because of the "Twilight" movies. Since then, she had been consistently starring in various films, whether indie films or not. Aside from the stardom she had gained being Bella Swan, Stewart was placed in the spotlight during her off-screen romance with costar Robert Pattinson, who played her love interest, Edward Cullen, in the "Twilight" Saga. The two dated for a while but broke up following Stewart's scandalous affair with the director on one of her films.

And now, recent reports have emerged suggesting that Stewart's upcoming directorial debut, "Come Swim?" was inspired by her real-life relationship with Robert Pattinson. According to some fans, "Come Swim" is a short film about an emotional day in a man's life before he is overcome and starved by water, according to Celebrity Laundry.

Fans pointed out that the storyline is based on Stewart's own complicated love life which mainly revolves around her highly-publicized relationship with her former boyfriend, Pattinson. Kristen even admitted interview with Refinery29 that she was inspired by a man who feels uncomfortable in his own skin. The main character, Josh Kaye, is a 26-year-old man trying to live his day-to-day life while his memories anchored on his ex-girlfriend.

The film shows several abstract representations of his broken heart and his feelings for his ex. Viewers also get to see previous conversations with his ex-girlfriend that he continually repeats in his head. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this week.

 "I was really obsessed with putting someone somewhere that they wouldn't naturally inhabit, and having them sort of dwell. In that time in my life, that was incredibly appealing to me, it was just sort of about isolation," Kristen shared in the interview.

With the main character's suffering, many insisted that Kristen is undeniably referring to her long and very bumpy relationship with Robert. Steward shared that she perceived her relationship with Robert as 'trivialized', according to LA Times.

However, no one can confirm this theory except Kristen herself. The couple stayed silent on what happened in their relationship. The then-couple has not spoken to each other in years. Pattinson is currently with his fiancé FKA Twigs while Stewart had a number of girlfriends and lovers throughout the years.
