Season 10 of the hit Jim Parsons starrer on CBS has ended. However, there's still no news about when "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 will premiere. Parsons and the other cast members may be looking forward to another installment but right now, the actor seems to be focused on the "TBBT" spinoff.
In a recent sit down with E! News, the actor talked about the upcoming "Big Bang Theory" spinoff that CBS is preparing for him. He did not give any plot details but he said he is "really excited about it." For him, the spinoff series will not be similar to the original show "but in a good way." Unfortunately, Parsons did not mention anything about "The Big Bang Theory" season 11.
Parsons noted that the writers of "TBBT" have done an amazing job building the series. There's still no exact premiere date for the highly anticipated spinoff. CBS has also yet to give a green light to "The Big Bang Theory" season 11. However, fans are hopeful that the show will get a final installment before it ends its run on television.
According to Cinema Blend, the network has renewed several shows and also announced new projects, including the Sheldon Cooper-centric "TBBT" spinoff. However, "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 remains in limbo. The series has been packed with cancellation rumors over the past months due to alleged issues with the contracts of some cast members.
Glenn Geller, CBS Entertainment president, said "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 is currently in "negotiations." He did not provide any concrete details about the discussions going on behind the scenes. However, he pointed out that the network is "guardedly optimistic" for the show's return.
One of things that could be highlighted in "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 is Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) baby. While the child was introduced in the series in season 10, there's still much to see of the hybrid baby that carries the genes of Howard. CBS has yet to comment on the plot of the unannounced "TBBT" season.
