‘The Vampire Diaries’ Finale: Another Gilbert Returning; Old Villain Back To Bring Chaos

"The Vampire Diaries" finale is almost here. The crew and cast have finished filming the conclusion scene of one of the best TV series of all time. The series promises to have a heart-breaking, and jaw-dropping last scene to end it all. However, there are a lot to happen in the finale episode, and Elena Gilbert may not be the only beloved character that's going to return.

Elena's little brother, Jeremy Gilbert, is likely to make an appearance. The Gilbert brother actor, Stephen R. McQueen, was seen on the set and he even took a picture of him and posted it on his Instagram account. McQueen's last scene in "The Vampire Diaries" season 6 was saying goodbye to her sister, Elena before she took a long sleep, and his scene in the Season 8 finale could be Elena's welcome party once she woke up.

According to TV Guide, Michael Malarkey's character, Enzo, who met his doom when Stefan ripped out his heart, will also show up to "The Vampire Diaries" conclusion. Malarkey has teased "TVD" fans that his scene will be in the form of Enzo-Bonnie reunion.

Besides Enzo, season 6 villain, Kai Parker is also back to bring some chaos, according to the teaser for February 17 episode. However, Kai's return is not to awaken Elena from her sleep, but he's more likely to cause trouble for other characters, as the synopsis read: "Damon and Alaric come face to face with an old enemy after they obtain a weapon that may be able to destroy Cade."

Elena Gilbert actress, Nina Dobrev, has bid her final goodbye via Instagram to her 24.1M followers. Dobrev wrote a long, heartbreaking farewell: "It feels like it was just yesterday that I was saying goodbye and yet two years have passed and here we are again. This is my true final goodbye." Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" must have felt their hearts broken just by reading Nina Dobrev's farewell post.
