Yoga 720 News: Lenovo’s Newest Laptop Specs & Possible Launch At MWC 2017

Mobile World Congress (MWC) commonly hosts the release of new wearable technology and flagship smartphones of most tech giants like Samsung, Microsoft, LG, and many others. But it seems like Lenovo (which also makes smartphones) is deciding to launch their newest mid-range laptop - the Yoga 720 - during the MWC 2017.

But with what specs will the Yoga 720 come with? According to rumors, the Yoga 720 will come in two versions: one version will have a 13.3-inch display while the other will sport a 15.6-inch screen.

The 13.3-inch version of the Yoga 720 will feature a full HD screen, reports MSPoweruser. It will either have a Core i5-7200U CPU, or the much more powerful i7-7700HQ CPU from Intel.

The 13.3-inch Yoga 720 may also feature either an 8GB or 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 256GB or 512 GB solid state drive (SSD) storage, 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.1,  1 x USB 3.0 port, 2 x USB 3.1 ports, and one Type-C USB port. The 13.3-inch Yoga 720 will come with an optional backlit keyboard, and will be powered by a 4-cell 48Wh battery

The 15.6-inch version of the Yoga 720, will also have a full HD screen, reports Windows Central. This larger version will be using Intel's Core i7-7700HQ CPU.

The 15.6-inch version of the Yoga 720 will also either have 8GB or 16GB RAM running at 2,133GHz, either 256GB or 512GB SSD storage, 2x2 802.11ac Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.1, 2 x USB 3.0 and 3.1 ports and 1 USB Type-C. It will be powered with a 6-cell 72Wh battery.

The 15.6-inch Yoga 720 is also rumored to feature an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU, with 2GB of GDDR5 memory. This version will also come with an optional backlit keyboard.

Also, both models of the Yoga 720 will run Windows 10 Home, and have fingerprint scanners which can be located around the laptops' palm rest. Both laptops will also sport a Dolby Audio Premium and JBL sound system.

It can be observed that both versions of the Yoga 720 almost have the same specs, except for the batteries, the number of USB ports, and what CPU they will be using. Obviously, the 15.6-inch version will be much more powerful and will have a longer battery life.

Again, these are all but rumors of the possible specs for the Yoga 720. All will be verified during the MWC 2017 that will be held in Barcelona on Feb. 27.
