"House of Cards" is currently on hiatus but fans are eager for its return. Well, the hype continues as new reports suggest that Oscar-nominated Patricia Clarkson and Campbell Scott join the cast of "House of Cards" season 5.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Patricia Clarkson last graced the small screens with a cameo for "Broad City" where she played a recurring role as Tammy Swanson. Meanwhile, Campbell Scott appeared on "Royal Pains" and "Damages." Both stars are set to join "House of Cards" Season 5.
There are not many details about Campbell Scott and Patricia Clarkson's casting in "House of Cards" Season 5. However, in some of the photos shared by Slash Film, it can be seen that Scott's character is meeting with Joel Kinnaman's Will Conway. The latter is a nominee for President of the United States running against Frank.
Meanwhile, Clarkson was spotted with the FLOTUS in the White House. This could be a hint to which of the political parties the new characters are siding in "House of Cards" Season 5.
The Netflix political drama is expected to continue its thrilling and compelling plot in "House of Cards" Season 5. Kevin Spacey will continue his ruthless ruling as POTUS Frank Underwood while Robin Wright will also return to reprise her roles as the cunning FLOTUS. With the addition of the new faces and great actors, much is expected in the next section.
Meanwhile, "House of Cards" producers continue to drop menacing new trailers about its new season. In fact, before Donald Trump sworn as President of the United States, Netflix shared a 28-second "House of Cards" teaser featuring the American flag in an upside down against an overcast sky.
Another dark "House of Cards" Season 5 trailer was released yesterday. It featured a hand placing a razor blade on what appears to be a bathtub or sink. It still unknown what this means but fans probably already have already formed their own speculations.
