'Teen Wolf' Season 6B Spoilers: Former Characters Return for Last Season & New Hunters Arrive

"Teen Wolf" Season 6B will be the last leg of the supernatural young adult TV series on MTV. The mid-season finale left many fans sated and happy at the main characters' reunion and the long-awaited Stydia kiss. This time, viewers want to know which characters will be back for the last season. Showrunner Jeff Davis hinted at Derek Hale's return.

The first part of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 was an homage to Stiles Stilinksi (Dylan O'Brien) who was an integral part of the supernatural community despite being only human. The "Riders of the Storm" episode felt like a series finale, but executive producer Jeff Davis told Teen Wolf News that there was still more to explore in Beacon Hills before the show will end.

The main characters will be heading to college, leaving the new generation of fighters to protect Beacon Hills. Fans wanted to see a graduation ceremony or a senior prom, but Davis said it was never part of the story outline. He said they were just not part of the story's make-up and that "Teen Wolf" Season 6B will be darker before it gets brighter.

Davis also told TV Line that they decided to end the mid-season with a satisfying ending because they were tired of cliffhangers. Though he didn't want to give major "Teen Wolf" Season 6B spoilers, but he did say that some former characters will be returning to say goodbye to the viewers.

Matthew del Negro will be back to reprise his role as Agent Rafe McCall, Scott's father. This is going to cause some friction between the characters, especially for Melissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio) and Chris Argent (JR Bourne) whose relationship is growing beyond friendly.

Fans really want to see Tyler Hoechlin reprise his role as Derek Hale for a few episodes in the last episode. Davis said he would like to see Hoechlin back on the show for even a short while, but Hoechlin himself has not confirmed his appearance for "Teen Wolf" Season 6B. The producers are also in talks with Colton Hayes to return as Jackson for the show's last season.

New villains and new faces will appear in the next half of the last season. Davis said that the next part will be about outsiders and the presence of new hunters. "Teen Wolf" Season 6B cast will be joined by a new character to be played by "Bella and the Bulldogs" actor Froy Gutierrez. There will be new villains and heroes, although Davis didn't reveal many details.
