Google Assistant Comes To Also Assist Non-Pixel Mobile Phones

Good news for non-Pixel users that want to try Google Assistant because the very assistive Google app might not be Pixel exclusive soon. Last month, there are rumors that new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones will house Google Assistant.

As reported by Gadget 360, Nexus 5X and Nexus6O was the first non-pixel person. But Google Assistant might come to other android phones through google updates. It is said that updating the Google App will make the Google Assistant available. The 6.13 alpha update will make pressing the power key to activate Google Assistant.

There are no clear criteria as to what cell phone brand and models are going to receive an update with Google Assistant. There is a report that about of the updates are rolled into smartphones already and the other half is waiting to receive the update. The Google Assistant is a "Pixel" exclusive until Google announced the addition of Google Assistant on Nexus 5X. It has only been available for Google Pixel or Pixel XL.
