Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom has gone on sale in Taiwan and it starts at the price of $399. It serves as a successor to the Asus ZenFone Zoom and it also has the same optical zoom camera. In fact, the new gadget is lauded for its double rear camera feature, impressive battery, large 64 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM.
Asus has been stepping up its smart phone line to compete against other Android brands and the iPhone. Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom seems to be whole new level of gadgetry. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU and has a battery life of 5,000 mAh. It has 64 GB for storage and 4GB memory, with 5.5" AMOLED Full HD 1920x1080 Gorilla Glass 5.
The most sought-after feature of the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom specs, though, is the zoom camera. The Verge reported that the new phone has a 2.3x optical zoom. It's down from the original's 3x magnification, but the new gadget makes up for it by having a dual-rear-camera set-up.
The primary camera is a 12MP with Sony IMX362 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 25-mm focal length. The zoom cam, meanwhile, is a 12MP with Samsung 3M3 sensor, 2.3X optical zoom, 12X total zoom, and 56-mm focal length. The front camera, on the other hand, is an impressive 13MP with Sony IMX214 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Myzen Asus also reveals that the 5,000 mAh battery is so powerful that the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom can even serve as a powerbank. Users who open multiple apps will find that the new Zoom phone can handle multitasking without a glitch.
There's a Micro SD slot to expand the already large 64GB. Unfortunately, using the Micro SD will mean forgoing a second SIM card since the two occupy the same slot. The Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom comes in either Glacier Silver or Navy Black. It will arrive in North America soon in Q1 this February.
