The CW's superhero drama "Supergirl" is adding another piece of Superman history on its roster. Teri Hatcher, known to Superman fans as the face of Lois Lane, has been cast as a villain for "Supergirl" season 2.

Sharing a picture of her costume-fitting, Hatcher went on to Twitter to share the love she is getting, Comic Book reported. While the black front armor is still too plain to tell which villain she would portray as, it would be safe to say that she would be bringing the fight to Supergirl, played by Melissa Benoist.

Dean Cain, who played as the Man of Steel in the 90's series "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman", has previously been cast in "Supergirl" as Jeremiah Danvers. Along with actress Helen Slater, who brought to life Kara Zor-El in 1984's "Supergirl", as Eliza Danvers, they play as adoptive parents of Kara in the CW series, Screen Rant reported.

This would also serve as the third Superman project Cain and Hatcher worked together, albeit not as a tandem or sharing some screen time. After working as the titular tandem in "The New Adventures of Superman", they both appeared in the series "Smallville", with Cain taking the role of the immortal doctor Curtis Knox. Hatcher appeared on the series as Ella Lane, who is the mother of Lois Lane. Ironically, she played as Lois lane in the 90's TV series.

With Cain's character still alive in the series, and the upcoming arrival of Hatcher, there is a big possibility that these former on-screen partners may find themselves sharing some screen time, though at different sides of the field now. It would be interesting to see if "Supergirl" execs will be pulling a "Lois and Clark" moment at some point of season 2.

"Supergirl" airs on Mondays, 8pm EST on The CW.
