It looks like the Mean Girls star could barely make it a few minutes into her court-ordered 90-day "lockdown" in a rehabilitation facility. Lindsay Lohan showed up on time to check into the Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, but felt that it was not up to par in terms of standards and left the facility just minutes later. This of course is a violation of Lohan's plea agreement that kept her out of jail, but it looks like that is exactly where she will end up.
Though to her credit, reports claim that the 26-year-old actress/singer left the facility due to the fact that California officials revoked its license. This means the Morningside Recovery center cannot provide rehab treatment for drugs and alcohol. This seems like a reasonable reason to leave, right?
It is unclear if Los Angeles Superior Judge James Dabney, the official who sentenced Lohan, knew about the license situation of the facility. Lohan's lawyer Mark Heller informed the judge in court on Thursday that the celebrity would spend her rehab sentence there, so it looks like nobody knew. Also in court,Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White, one of the prosecutors involved in Lohan's case, said Heller did not receive any form of approval for Lindsay to go to Morningside. White said that he needed time to investigate the treatment center.
According to her father, Michael Lohan, "Lindsay had no idea that Morningside wasn't approved."
Mark Heller has yet to make a statement about the situation.
Though the facility was indeed unfit to treat the former child actress, leaving without checking with the judge (or anybody really) does not look good. It seems like the best move for Lohan is to return to the rehab center until Judge Dabney rules on the situation. Returning would possibly help in avoiding an immediate arrest.
