Angelina Jolie finally broke her silence on her split from Brad Pitt. This is the first time since filing for divorce from Pitt that the actress spoke to BBC World News about the difficult time and how she doing after the split from her now ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
The actress talked about her divorce from Brad Pitt in an interview with the BBC that was released on Sunday. In conversation with Yalda Hakim in Cambodia, Jolie was promoting her new documentary, "First They Killed My Father," reported Entertainment Online.
Jolie held back tears when the interviewer asked her about the shocking divorce from Brad Pitt. She revealed that the divorce from her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, had been a very difficult time for her family, reported BBC. "And we are a family and will always be a family. And we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it," added Jolie.
When asked how she is coping after the divorce from Brad Pitt, Jolie made it clear that her only focus is their children and they are and will forever be a family. Jolie added that she is trying her best to find a way through the difficult time the family is going through and to make sure that these problems help them get stronger and closer.
The interviewer then went on to ask where Jolie saw herself in the next five years and this brought on a smile on her face when she realized that by then all her children would have reached their teenage. Jolie added that in five years' time she would like to be traveling around the world visiting her children and would be supporting them always.
Angelina Jolie was in Cambodia to promote her new documentary that talks about issues around the Khmer Rouge genocide in Cambodia and also touches the topics of family and loss. "First They Killed My Father" will be released on Netflix later this year.
