'Man of Steel 2' Heroes And Villains Most Likely To Appear; Script Already Underway

There have already been two movies in the DCEU and two more are coming out this year. Another highly anticipated film is "Man of Steel 2." The script is already in the works and fans are already speculating which superheroes and villains will appear in the sequel starring Superman (Henry Cavill). Here are the details and characters that are likely to appear in the movie.

At the end of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", fans saw Kal-El buried after his sacrifice. It's obvious to fans, though, that he will be back in this year's "Justice League". The question now is what story will be explored in "Man of Steel 2". The Guardian thinks that it's time for Superman to face a non-CGI villain. Although "Batman v Superman" had Lex Luthor, the superheroes ultimately had to fight Doomsday, a CGI monster villain.

According to MovieWeb, the "Man of Steel 2" script is in the works. Actress Amy Adams, who plays Louis Lane, said that it was already underway. Production could start soon and the movie could be released in 2019 or 2020. Out of all of Superman's villains, the one that fans want to see on the big screen is Darkseid. His arrival was already hinted at in "Batman v Superman" and "Justice League" will have Steppenwolf, Darkseid's uncle as the main villain.

He could be the big bad in "Man of Steel 2" if the movie will be produced a few years from now and if it will herald "Justice League 2". Fans know that Darkseid is such a huge character and a movie that will include him needs to be just as colossal. Aside from the villains, Superman will most likely collaborate with other superheroes in his sequel.

There had been rumors floating around that Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) will work together with Superman in a film. This happened after Johnson posted an Instagram picture of him and Cavill together. Another superhero that should be part of the "Man of Steel 2" cast is Supergirl. Kara Zor-El is Superman's cousin and it only makes sense for them to team up.

There's still no news about the release date for "Man of Steel 2". "Wonder Woman" and "Justice League" will be out this year while "The Flash" and "Aquaman" will be released in 2018. There are two unknown DCEU movies slated to appear in 2019, together with "Shazam". One might be "The Batman" and the other could be "Man of Steel 2". DCEU is busy with so many movies, but hopefully each one will be done with justice.
