Nintendo Switch is the new handheld console that is stirring up a storm among gaming aficionados. However, there is one thing that they are lacking: a "Pokemon" game.
What makes Nintendo Switch so popular is that it can both be an in-house gaming console or a mobile gaming device. Although it currently has a great line-up of games such as "Zelda: Breath of the Wild," it needs something more traditional. And according to Forbes contributor Paul Tassi, that is "Pokemon." It can be the alleged upcoming "Pokemon Stars" or it can be any one of its older versions revamped for Switch.
Yes, "Pokemon Stars" is possibly a real thing as there is already talk brewing about it in the gaming world. This new "Pokemon" game is supposedly Nintendo Switch version of "Pokemon Sun and Moon." However, there is nothing definite about its existence as the Kyoto, Japan-based manufacturer of Switch has remained mum about the persistent rumor.
The only thing that Nintendo Switch and "Pokemon" fans are holding on to are the words of Tsunezaku Ishihara, Mic wrote. The Pokemon CEO revealed last September 2016 that they have plans of developing a game for the new hand-held gaming device. He also pointed out that the screen for the new-fangled mobile gaming device is wider and its specifications are higher compared to others. That is why if or when they develop a new game for it, it will have to be different in consideration to the two aforementioned factors.
Meanwhile, the online news portal said that "Pokemon Stars" could possibly look like its "Sun and Moon" brethren. Some high-definition screenshots of the 3DS game made their way to Twitter, courtesy of one player and user. They reminded everyone that "Pokemon" games nowadays are in 3D and look very good in higher resolution. Although there is nothing much to go on, those hoping for a Nintendo Switch "Pokemon" can imagine it with the help of those screenshots.
