'Overwatch' Character Orisa Created By Robotics Prodigy Efi Oladele Gets March 21 Release Date

Blizzard Entertainment just announced that "Overwatch" is going to introduce a new character, Orisa, on March 21. The video game's official Twitter account uploaded a video about Orisa's development. The character is the videogame's youngest one and was designed by the narrative's Efi Oladele, a non-playable character. Orias is tagged as the team's central anchor and protector.

For the past few weeks, the latest "Overwatch" character was in development on Windows PC, but on March 21, she will be playable through all game versions. Polygon reported that Orisa will be the game's twenty-fourth character, joining after Ana and Sombra. Orisa is a peacekeeping robot and the team's central anchor, since she can cast a protective barrier around her group.

The character of Efi Oladele was introduced in the "Overwatch" story just a month ago. Blizzard Entertainment teased that the newest character will be connected to this 11-year-old robotics engineering prodigy. It was only recently that Blizzard announced Orisa's character. It was also revealed that Orisa was created from an OR15 robot after Efi saw Doomfist's attack on Numbani.

Orisa has a lot of powerful abilities that make her invaluable to the team in "Overwatch". Aside from protection barriers, she is capable of long-range attacks (Fusion Driver), graviton charges to slow down the enemy (Halt!), and power boosters for her allies (Supercharger). According to Playstation Lifestyle, another gameplay feature for the character is her Fortify ability. It reduces the damages she takes, which will also make her invulnerable to impairment-causing attacks.

During an AMA on Reddit, "Overwatch" game director, Jeff Kaplan, shared that Winston is the least picked hero in the game. He also said that they were being cautious with Winston and other features on Orisa's release date. He also expressed his gratitude to the fans for recognizing his team's work and that they were satisfied in making their players happy even if their game doesn't win Game of the Year award.
