Cheryl & Liam Payne Baby: ‘One Direction’ Singer Reportedly Not The Baby Daddy

Liam Payne of "One Direction" and his girlfriend, Cheryl Cole, became proud parents to a healthy young son over the weekend. While most of their fans have been ecstatic over this news, congratulating the couple, a few of them have pointed out the possibility that Payne isn't the real baby daddy of Cheryl's newborn baby.

The new conspiracy theory surfaced after someone claimed on Twitter that the real father of Cheryl's son was ex-boyfriend, Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini, and not her current boyfriend, Liam Payne, of "One Direction," Unreality TV reports. "I think that baby is Cheryl's baby but not Liam's," commented one fan. This was followed up with similar comments such as, "I'm not sure if that baby is actually Liam's or Cheryl's ex but idc [I don't care] Liam is happy and that's all that matters."

The probability of the theory being true is highly unlikely since Liam Payne has been dating Cheryl Cole for over a year now. Others have even pondered about the possibility that Cheryl might have taken the help of a sperm donor to conceive a child, which does not make the "One Direction" singer the biological father of the child.

None of the fans, however, doubt that that the healthy child, weighing 7lbs 9ozs at the time of his birth, was actually Cheryl's since she has posted many pictures of her bulging belly on social media, prior to the delivery. Regardless of whether the "One Direction" singer is the real baby daddy of Cheryl's son, Liam Payne cannot be happier with the marvel that has been added his and his girlfriend's lives.

Liam Payne recently posted a picture of him carefully cradling his son to his chest on his Instagram page. The "One Direction" singer followed this up by tweeting just like a first-time dad. It is a meme of Ross from "Friends" saying, "No! No. No!" with the caption, "When the fourth nappy happens in 5 minutes."

It definitely shows that Liam is enjoying his newly gained parenthood with Cheryl. As for whether the "One Direction" singer is the biological father of the child will remain under debate.
