Katie Holmes, Suri Cruise Enjoy A Mother-Daughter Date At The Hair Salon

Katie Holmes has always been a mom to her daughter with Tom Cruise, Suri Cruise. The pair was spotted enjoying a mother and daughter's day at a hair salon.

On her Instagram account, Katie Holmes shared a snapshot of her and daughter Suri in a hair salon. According to Vogue, for the mother and daughter duo, having their hair done is a family affair.

Katie Holmes and Suri visited Serge Normant's New York salon where they enjoyed a day of beauty maintenance. The pair has twinning looks and even captured it in a mirror selfie.

It's almost five years since Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise divorced. Their whirlwind romance did not last due to the "Jack Reacher" star's religion. The "Dawson's Creek" alum feared that she will lose her daughter to Scientology when some of the members of the church moved in at their home.

Among the famous member of Scientology are John Travolta, Kirstie Alley, Jenna Elfman, Elisabeth Moss, Ann Archer and Giovanni Ribisi. However, Tom Cruise is the most important. Ron Miscavige's son David leads the church, none can disobey him except the actor. He was Tom Cruise's best man when he married Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes. For David, Cruise is the most "dedicated Scientologist" he knows.

However, they have this disconnection policy that when one leaves the church the remaining member has to cut all ties and contacts from that person who left. This is the reason Tom Cruise became an absentee dad to Suri following his divorce with Katie Holmes.

Ron Miscavige told Daily Mail that Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's adopted daughter Bella cut her ties with the "Moulin Rouge!" star when the actress left Scientology. After learning this, Katie Holmes feared that it will happen to her and Suri, so she opted to divorce the "Mission Impossible" star instead of risking her daughter to Scientology.

"The big issue really was raising Suri as a Scientologist. If that happened, some day it was a possibility that she would disconnect from Katie, " Ron said. "Ultimately this is what has happened to me."
