Samsung sets a new target of selling more than 18 million units of Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones in a period of three months from the date of launch.Also, the company aims at selling 58 million units of smartphones from March to December, which is 8 million greater than the previous estimations.
The Android Soul report gives complete details about the targets of the Seoul-based tech giant on Samsung Galaxy S8 Smartphone. It is reported that the company plans to pump or sell 18 million Galaxy S8 units from March to May, which is almost 50 percent greater target than the previously released Galaxy S7 smartphones. The company sold 12 million units of Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones in 3 months.
It is reported that the company had planned earlier to sell 16 million units in three months and this estimation was made in the month of February. Now, the company has revised its target estimations and has moved from 16 million units to 18 million units of Samsung Galaxy S8.
It is reported that Samsung is setting a target of selling 58 million units of Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones from the date of launch until December, which is 8 million units higher than the internally estimated sales volume of about 50 million units. It is also reported that Samsung has sold 49 million Galaxy S7 series in almost 11 months.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 sports a 5.8-inch QHD+ (1440x2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, whereas the Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ display with the same resolution as that of Galaxy S8.
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones are powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC (2.3GHz Quad + 1.7GHz Quad) or Exynos 8895 SoC (2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad) processor. The processor is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphones feature a 12-megapixel 'Dual Pixel' rear camera with optical image stabilization feature and an 8-megapixel front camera with autofocus feature.
