Abby Lee Miller has received her sentence for 20 counts of fraud. The sentencing comes over a year after she was found to have disclosed over $755,000 from her TV stint. Her former students from "Dance Moms" have commented on the issue.
The former "Dance Moms" teacher has been sentenced to a year and one day behind bars. A number of Miller's students on the Lifetime series have shared their thoughts on the sentencing of the reality star. According to E! News, Elliana Walmsley shared a photo of her and Miller.
In her post, Walmsley said she wouldn't be where she is without Abby Lee Miller. Maesi Caes also took to Instagram a day before Miller's sentencing. The "Dance Moms" star said she is sending positive vibes, love and prayers for her former dance teacher.
The last student who took to social media was Kamryn Beck. She shared a black and white photo of her former "Dance Moms" coach, telling fans not to believe everything they see on television. It remains to be seen if other stars from the Lifetime show will share their thoughts on the news.
During her sentencing, Abby Lee Miller was in tears. Chief Judge Joy Flowers Conti added two years of supervised release to the "Dance Moms" star's sentence. The additional two years are on top of the entire year she will spend in jail.
According to Deadline, Judge Conti told the "Dance Moms" star that she wasn't "truthful." Miller was in tears while she Judge Conti spoke in front of the packed courtroom. Kelly Hyland and Christi Lukasiak sat behind Miller as she heard her sentence.
Fans are particularly looking forward to what former "Dance Moms" stars Maddie Ziegler and Chloe Lukasiak will say about the fate of Abby Lee Miller. So far the young dancers have not said anything about the big news yet.
