Lee Min Ho has already started his military enlistment at last. This might mean that he will be gone from the spotlight for a short while.
"The Heirs" star will be servicing the country for a maximum of two years. The "Faith" star started his public service as a social worker on May 12 at Gangnam's government office.
There are rumors that Lee Min Ho would hit off from his duty early. However, his management agency MYM Entertainment stressed that it is not possible. "That's impossible," an agency official said. "Lee Min Ho has to follow the instructions of an official from the Military Manpower Administration and be informed of his work site. It's impossible that he can get away early on the first day," per National Multimedia
Lee Min Ho was physically examined due to the injuries he suffered from his past two car accidents. In 2006, the actor along with Jung II Woo had injuries from a serious car accident. The "Legend of the Blue Sea" star had more than just a fractured ankle because a metal rod was inserted into his leg for recovery. In 2011, the actor got into another car accident while filming the SBS drama series "City Hunter."
Military service is mandatory for every South Korean man between the ages 18 and 35. They are required to perform a two-year military service, with the rationale being the continued threat from North Korea.
On other news, last March 29 Lee Min Ho attended the press conference for MBC's documentary "DMZ, The Wild" as the presenter. The program took 2 years to film. He was also at the location of the filming to deliver important information to the viewers.
Lee Min Ho talks about his military service stating "I think everyone feels the same way before enlisting. I feel like I will be separated for a while and I feel sad. As I am waiting for my enlistment date, I do have ambition regarding work and would like to film another project."Soompi reported
