J.Cole is a Born Sinner, battling good and evil for his sophomore album. The Roc Nation emcee released the deluxe and standard editions of the album cover on the heels of his NEW June 18th album debut.
While one cover features the gates of hell and the other a devil with horns and a haloed crown, it is symbolic of J.Cole’s journey from would be rapper producer to a household name.
"You're gonna hear sonically and soundwise as a producer how I've grown," Cole told Rap-Up of the follow-up to his 2011 debut Cole World: The Sideline Story. "I'm not trying to make my old stuff and I'm not trying to make anything that was made in the past. I'm trying to concoct new creations."
Cole's album was originally slated for June 25th release date. However, our of respect for Kanye West and in a gesture which illustrated Cole's understanding of the music industry he and his camp decided to push his album date up to June 18.
He made the annoucement today via Twitter:
