Today marks the release of Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen's newest single "Take a Picture" on iTunes. The interesting thing about this song is that her fans actually helped her write it! Jepsen, who has always been pretty close with her fans, allowed her followers to vote on lyrics online in order to complete the song. The 27-year-old singer then debuted the finished product last week on "American Idol."

This weekend at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Carly took home three awards. She took home the award for Top Digital Artist of 2103, beating out Flo Rida, fun., Maroon 5 and even Taylor Swift!
In a recent interview with E! News, Jepsen expressed her interest in working with new collaborators. Most recently, her remix for "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" featured Nicki Minaj. Though she is looking for collaborators, she might not have to look too far. Jepsen revealed that she would be interested in working with her musician boyfriend Matthew Koma, too.
"I would definitely work with my boyfriend Matthew Koma again. Believe it or not we're like super-professional when we get into the studio together...I think because of how we met, we pop right back into that professional behavior," she said.
Jepsen also dropped another name of an artist she is interested in working with. "I actually really interested in maybe working with NeYo," she said. "I met him at the Grammys...and I'm actually really inspired by the songwriting he's offered so far. So I'd be down with getting in the room and seeing if we could make something cool together."
