Coachella 2014: Coachella Music Festival Announces 2014 Dates, Advance Ticket Sale Friday

The Coachella Music Festival just wrapped up its 2013 edition in India, California in April but the festival has already announced its 2014 dates on its website.

Coachella 2014 will again take place during two weekends. The first half will occur from Friday, April 11 to Sunday, April 13 and the second half will occur from Friday, April 18 to Sunday, April 20.

The website for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will hold an advance ticket sale for the 2014 festivities on Friday, May 24 at 1 p.m. Eastern, 10 a.m. Pacific.

Coachella 2013 featured 2 Chainz, Alex Clare, Baauer. Benny Benassi, Blur, Descendants, Dinosaur Jr., Dropkick Murphys, Franz Ferdinand, How to Destroy Angels, James McCartney, Janelle Monae, Jurassic 5, Moby, Modest Mouse, Of Monsters and Men, Passion Pit, Phoenix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R. Kelly, Social Distortion, Tegan and Sara, The Gaslight Anthem, The Lumineers, The Postal Service, The Stone Roses, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, among many others.

Coachella held its inaugural festival in 1999. Approximately 10,000 people attended and it featured Beck, The Chemical Brothers, Morrissey, Rage Against The Machine and Tool. The festival did not occur in 2000 but has gone on every year since 2001.
