Kate Middleton Baby Bump, Due Date: Pregnant Duchess Accepts Race Invitation Set for Same Day as Royal Birth of First Child, June 13, 2013

Though she might not attend the race, the Duchess of Cambridge has agreed to allow a race set for next month at the Newmarket Racecourse to be named after her. "The Duchess of Cambridge Stakes" will take place July 11 - 14, which happens to be around the time of the 31-year-old mother-to-be's due date. Numerous reports have claimed that July 13 will be the birthday of the future heir to the throne, but have not officially been confirmed. Either way, Prince William's wife's name is now part of racing history in Britain.

An avid fan of the races, Middleton has often been spotted at such events. You might remember most of her more eccentric fashion statements and headwear choices were on display at plenty of racecourses over the years. And now the Duchess will have her name on a famous festival, joining the likes of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.

Chairman Julian Richmond-Watson said, "We are honored the Duchess of Cambridge has graciously consented to lend her name to this prestigious race. It is a great thrill for us to have a second Royal race at our July Festival and such is the popularity of the Duchess of Cambridge, I am sure that it will be a much-welcomed addition."

Kate is rumored to be going into the delivery room on June 13, so she is most likely not going to attend this race that was named after her.

This week, Kate will attend the naming ceremony of a new Princess Cruise ship (of which she is Godmother). She will christen the ship "Royal Princess" this Thursday in Southampton before attending a gala. This event will reportedly be her last public appearance before going on maternity leave to prepare for delivery.
