The track itself is a return to form for Franz Ferdinand, whose last album Tonight: Franz Ferdinand took a louder, more dance-driven direction. "Bullet" is an upbeat, fast-paced, good old-fashioned indie rock 'n' roll song, recalling the band's earliest days of their eponymous debut and smash single "Take Me Out."
