When comedic actor Russell Brand went on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" to promote the United States leg of his "Messiah Complex" stand-up comedy tour, most people probably assumed that the "Get Him to the Greek" star would hit on co-host Mika Brzezinski. Well, he did hit on her, but he also put Brzezinski and panelists Katy Kay and Brian Shactman in their places after the MSNBC personalities were pretty disrespectful to Brand. To make his point, Brand pretty much took over the show for a short while to demonstrate proper manners while conducting an interview.

Brand got some flirting in during his interview on Monday, focusing mainly on co-host Brzezinski and her low-cut dress. He even complimented her hairdo, saying she resembled Princess Diana. "I'm only flesh and blood," he explained to Brzezinski. He even told her to take off her wedding ring after calling her a "shaft grasper." Though Brand did get a bit serious during his interview.

He was on the show to promote his "Messiah Complex" comedy tour, but at one point felt left out of the conversation. Brzezinski, Kay and Shactman constantly referred to Russell in the third person even though he was sitting with them at the same table. It confused the actor who shared his feelings with the anchors. He called them rude and then decided to demonstrate how to properly act during a news segment.

Brand also addressed how the interviewers seemed distracted by the superficial aspects of him. Again, he told the professional interviewers how to look past the superficial and get to the fact. It was especially funny when he asked them, "Is this what you all do for a living?"

Check out the interview from MSNBC's "Morning Joe," where Russell Brand takes over the show for a little bit to teach Brzezinski, Kay and Shactman how to properly do their jobs:
