Kate Moss, Playboy Magazine's 60th Anniversary: Supermodel Dons Birthday Suit at 40 Years Old for Steamy Cover Shoot and Photos

Kate Moss is set to appear on the cover of Playboy Magazine's 60^th anniversary issue come January 2014. The iconic supermodel will also be turning 40 years old at the same time of the special issue of the adult magazine. No stranger to nudity, Moss is reportedly very excited about the project and has reached out to friends in the art world to create a collection from the Playboy shoot. The anniversary of the magazine and the birthday of the British supermodel coinciding was one of the big reasons that Playboy wanted Moss for the cover.

This Playboy cover shoot has been kept secret for quite some time but celebrity hair stylist Oribe Canales spilled the beans last week when he revealed he worked with Moss' hair on the sexy shoot. So the shoot actually already happened and the photos will be available come January. This means that the cover will technically show a 39-year-old Moss, but it will be released on her 40^th birthday, January 16, 2014.

The New York Post reported that photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott worked on the shoot. Also, Kate Moss has reportedly asked artist Chuck Close to create a work of art based on the nude Playboy pictures.

In the 1990s, Kate Moss was the fashion world's face of the heroin-chic look. She rose to fame quickly and has stayed on top and kept her looks over the years. She has had numerous high-profile relationships in the past (including Johnny Depp) but recently married The Kills' guitarist Jaime Hince in 2011.
