'Terminator 5,' Arnold Schwarzenegger Vs. The Rock?: WWE's Dwayne Johnson Killing Machine Rumors, Filming Starts January 2014

Bodybuilder-turned-actor-turned-governor-turned-actor again Arnold Schwarzenegger recently announced that he would in the upcoming fifth installment of the Terminator movie franchise and that filming will start in January of 2014. In fact, Arnold even said that he would be reprising his role as the actual killing machine (Terminator) in the new film. Though it came from the iconic actor himself, none of this has been confirmed so when the WWE mentioned that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson might have been offered a role in Terminator 5, speculation around both stars' characters started. What if "The Rock" were the terminator instead of Arnold?

Schwarzenegger announced the following:

"I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January."

First of all, Johnson should absolutely be in this movie. Secondly, Arnold clearly does not have any youthful looks left so having him portray an ageless robot would be kind of an odd choice, right? The WWE Examiner proposed the following plot ideas and to be honest this sounds much more fathomable then Arnold's announcement:

"T5 may be a prequel set in the days of Sarah Connor's parents, marking the first time terminators have been sent back in time to kill a character that existed before both John and Sarah Connor.

"Incredibly, Schwarzenegger may not play the role of a machine in the next film, but a potentially heroic human figure in or close to the Connor family. One theory is that Schwarzenegger's remarkable ability to protect the Connor family in the 1940s or 1950s with antiquated weaponry by today's standards ultimately inspired the machines to develop a terminator in his likeness that was eventually sent to 1984 when Sarah Connor was first targeted for termination."

The wrestling news site then throws Dwayne Johnson's cap into the race for the suggested role of the terminator.
