British alternative rockers Arctic Monkeys announced the release date and name of their upcoming fifth studio album today (June 24).
AM will be released Monday, Sept. 9, according to the band's Facebook page.
The follow-up to 2011's Suck It And See will reportedly have a harder edge than anything the band has previously done, in the vein of last year's single "R U Mine." The success of that single, as well as a more advanced age, have inspired the Monkeys to take on a tougher sound.
Last week, the group released the record's first single "Do I Wanna Know?" The sound wave-inspired video shows a line shifting shapes into a woman smoking, cars speeding down a road and eagles flying.

The Arctic Monkeys have also announced the tracklisting for AM. Though it was alleged that "R U Mine" would not appear on a record, the track does appear as the second song on the album.

1. "Do I Wanna Know?
2. "R U Mine?"
3. "One For The Road"
