If for some reason you were hoping to see Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson reunite on the big screen in 2015 for Star Wars: Episode VII, you will be disappointed to hear that they have been blacklisted. The two young actors are definitely big names in Hollywood, but the people over at LucasFilm definitely do not want the on-again, off-again couple in the highly anticipated J.J. Abrams-directed movie. Like many actors, the two had each expressed interest in the rebooted franchise, but it looks like producers want the two to get the thought out of their minds.
"There is no chance that Kristen Stewart or Rob Pattinson will be offered a role for any of the films, they won't even be sent the script," an inside source stated.
This statement came in response to another regarding the Twilight stars' interests in the film.
"They aren't thinking of Star Wars themselves right now, but if it was offered to them, they would 100% talk to executives, JJ and Disney," the insider said. "It would be foolish for them not to take that call."
Clearly it would be "foolish" to not consider a part, but it looks like that decision has been made for the young heartthrobs. Other actors who have shown an interest in joining the Episode VII cast include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Kelly Russell, Sam Witwer, Diane Kruger, Leonard Nomoy, Daniel Radcliffe, and Warwick Davis (to name a few). Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers was reportedly offered a role in the film but this bit of news has yet to be confirmed.
Another unconfirmed rumor is that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will reprise their roles from the original trilogy. Pretty much nothing has been confirmed, though casting calls have leaked and the film will apparently star teenaged actors in the leading roles.
