Elton John New Album, Singer Reveals Release Date For 'The Diving Board'

Sir Elton John says his new album The Diving Board will drop on September 16. John has been working on the album since 2010, but pushed it aside to deal with other demands such as collaborations with Fall Out Boy.

Board will be Elton John's 30th studio effort (Ed: Holy sh*t.) and will feature T. Bone Burnett and Bernie Taupin. John has released a preview trailer for the album in which he asks "What kind of music do I really want to make?" and reveals "I have to go back to go forward again." 

The trailer also appears to reveal a snippet of a new song tenatively titled "Go Back Home."
