Rising rapper Lil Snupe may have been shot dead, but that doesn't mean his legacy won't live on.
According to HollywoodLife.com, unreleased music from the Meek Mill protégé may very well see the light of day.
A family friend told the website that while the family is understandably going through a lot of pain, they know Snupe would have wanted for his music to be heard. "I can't tell you the exact album title. I do know it's not Real in Charge," the source said referring to Lil Snupe's released mixtape Real N***a In Charge.
"He definitely had a mixtape that he himself was working on. There was one that was already finished that is coming up soon. And of course, there's plenty of stuff with Meek Mill," the source divulged.
The star was signed to Meek Mill's Dream Chasers label before the time of his death. His mentor is clearly still grieving Lil Snupe's death. When promoting rapper Wale's new album, Meek Mill added a #riplilsnupe to the tweet. Yesterday, Mill expressed his shock yet again with "Dey killed my lil nigga Snupe! Wtf."
Lil Snupe, born Addarren Ross, was murdered at the age of 18 by convicted felon Tony Holden following a gambling bet over a video game. After Holden lost to Ross, he shot the rising star twice in the torso. Holden is on the run and considered to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with knowledge of Holden's whereabouts are asked to contact the Winnfield, Louisiana, Police Department at 318-628-3511.
