Cleveland rapper Machine Gun Kelly has released a new single and music video today (June 25). "Breaking News" is the latest clip from MGK and will be featured on his upcoming mixtape Black Flag.
The clip for "Breaking News" is simple in nature. After a newscaster introduction boasting his star power and live performances, the rapper raps straight into the camera while walking through city streets and what appears to be backstage at a concert.
Jumpy cuts and flashing video effects make the video stand out a bit from the normal rap-into-the-camera video.

The track itself has a solid flow, hard backbeats and a shockingly catchy melody, proving that Machine Gun Kelly is quietly one of the better rappers in the game right now.
The surprising release of "Breaking News" today is all a part of MGK's guerilla marketing campaign for his 2013 mixtape Black Flag. The rapper's official website MGKlaceup.com features military dog tags with sketches and vague phrases carved into the metal. A countdown above the tags alerts fans when the next "strike" will be.
So far, strikes have included video previews and trailers for the album, as well as artwork and a tracklisting. What is unknown is which of the dog tags will reveal that MGK's Black Flag is released. Nobody outside the rapper's camp knows when the music will drop.
Intervals between one and four days have been noted on the website. Currently, there is less than a day before MGK does something new to promote (or release to his fans) the new LP.
