Jay-Z's new album Magna Carta Holy Grail will be heavy on the early '90s alternative rock. Via his Samsung mobile app, Hova has released lyrics to the track "Heaven," and this time it lifts some words from R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion."
"That's me in the corner, / That's me in the spotlight, / Losing my religion," the chorus will go, directly quoting lyrics from the 1991 single.
Listen to the original "Losing My Religion" from which Jay-Z took inspiration here:
The song as a whole seems to be about doubting one's beliefs. Other lyrics include "Question religion, / Question it all, / Question existence, / Until the questions are solved, / Meanwhile this heretic, I be out in Marrakesh."

This is the second time this week that Jay-Z has released song lyrics from his upcoming twelfth studio album. Much like "Heaven," the Justin Timberlake-featuring song "Holy Grail" will include lyrics from Nirvana's 1991 hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
If these two tracks are any indication, early-'90s rock played a huge influence on Jay-Z during the making of the album, which is due out July 4. The lyrical release of "Holy Grail" and "Heaven" seem to create the pattern that every few days fans will get a new taste of what will come with Magna Carta Holy Grail.
The Samsung mobile app launched on Monday, June 24. Fans will be able to download one million free copies of the album on July 1. However, those downloads will not count toward giving Magna Carta Holy Grail platinum status on the Billboard charts.
