The Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special does not air until November 23, 2013, but filming has apparently wrapped and now we are just patiently waiting for the promotion to start. Luckily for us Whovians, a trailer has been making the rounds this week, featuring some tantalizing teasers for the November special. It features current Doctor Matt Smith greeting former Doctor David Tennant before cutting to a few shots of John Hurt and other Doctor Who clips. Before you get too excited it must be said that this teaser trailer is very fake. Despite the fact that it is not associated with the BBC special, it is incredible and has just added to the 50th anniversary excitement!

Posted on the YouTube of "John Smith (the name often used by The Doctor throughout the 50 years of the series)," this fan-made promotional trailer really gets your heart pumping. You even get to hear Tennant's iconic expression "Alons-y!" The clip ends with Smith looking a bit dastardly, too! Though this is not related to the special, it really brings up some questions about it still!

Check out the original 3D version of the fake trailer RIGHT HERE!

And here is a 2D version "with a slight tweak to it that will make classic fans happy":

After seeing this fan-made teaser, are you even more excited for November?

The 50th Anniversary Special features current Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman, as well as John Hurt who was featured as a mysterious form of The Doctor in the season 7 finales "The Name of The Doctor." Fans are also excited to see the return of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor as well as his companion Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper.
