Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger Married: 'Complicated' Songstress & Nickelback Frontman Celebrate 'Wedding Weekend' in France, No Pictures Allowed

Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger and the couple's family and friends took part in an extra long wedding celebration that was described as a "Wedding Weekend," but really last from Friday to Tuesday morning. This four-day celebration took place in Cannes, France, and guests were asked not to take pictures so that nothing would be posted to Twitter, Instagram, etc. This was the first wedding and marriage for 38-year-old Kroeger, singer of the band Nickelback, and the second for 28-year-old Avril who was previously married to Deryck Whibley of Sum41.

Before the wedding, Lavigne explained that her ideas for the ceremony were fully supported by her then-fiance, Kroeger:

"Chad is on board with all my ideas," she shared "He knows that I have my own vision for the wedding and he likes what I like. He's down with whatever I'm down with. We have a lot in common, so it's been easier."

It looks like her wedding ideas paid off because many guest have been gushing about the extravaganza! One guest said, "[Avril] picked Cannes because she's spent significant time in Paris in the past few years and summered in places like St. Tropez. She's very immersed in French food, ambiance and culture. It's her favorite place to be."

Lavigne's talent agent also tweeted the following posts:
