R&B songstress Ashanti has previewed a new song 2013. "I Got It," featuring Future, was premiered by DJ Ty-Boogie on Power 105.1 earlier this week. A roughly one-minute long clip of the song has since made its way onto YouTube.
"I Got It" begins with quick, soft vocals from the "Never Should Have" singer. The mid-tempo track also features a small-sounding electronic drumbeat. Ashanti sings lightly, almost in a whisper, giving the hip-hop track a loving vibe.
Highly sought after rapper Future guests on the song, and a rap from the "Turn on the Lights" artist can be heard at the beginning of the preview. He sounds as solid as ever, giving a flow similar to his hit "Same Damn Time."
Though it's short, the song sounds like a solid release for Ashanti, who is attempting to make a comeback with her new 2013 album BraveHeart.

Though Ashanti just premiered the song, it's unclear whether or not "I Got It" will appear on BraveHeart or exactly when the new record is set to drop. The album was initially due out last year, but after singles have failed to chart on Billboard, the release date has been pushed back.
BraveHeart is apparently supposed to be released on July 30, but a release date of Aug. 20 has also been thrown around the web according to MissInfo.
That album will be the first studio album from Ashanti since 2008, when The Declaration and its singles underperformed.
