Kate Middleton is due to give birth this week. Though the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reportedly don't know the sex of their soon-to-born first child, it looks like they are pretty busy with the naming process these days. Whether the future heir to the throne of the United Kingdom is a boy or girl, the child's name is quite the big deal all over the world. So who is advising Kate and Wills on this incredibly important decision? Well, it looks like the Royal Couple have been seeking guidance from an unconventional source: their pet dog Lupo!
According to The Mirror, Prince William and his wife decided to make the naming process somewhat of a little game with their beloved pup. They reportedly wrote down dozens of possible names on individual scraps of paper, scattered them across the floor of their home and brought in the loyal Lupo to "select" a series of names.
The dog, whose name means "wolf" in Italian, would tap the scraps of paper with his paw according to an insider.
"No one knows which ones Lupo chose," the source said. "But the names have been so varied that the child could end quite mixed up - and be called Victoria Alexandra George David Beckham."
Plenty of sources and insiders have guessed or claimed that the baby will actually be a girl. The same goes for the actual name of the child. Insiders are choosing "Alexandra" as the name of the next Princess. Do you think these reports will turn out to be true?
Within this week, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, will be delivering her first child any day now at St. Mary's Hospital's Lindo Wing.
This is the same wing where the late Princess Diana delivered Princes William and Harry.
